Children's Theatre of Charlotte is celebrating our 61st Season! Dramas and musicals on a Broadway scale will be complimented by powerful, intimate productions from our Tarradiddle Players and exciting work from guest artists. Shows and classes for preschoolers will introduce children to our work, even as we offer more programming for elementary, middle and high school ages than ever before.

This season we will mount six original large-scale productions, six Tarradiddle Players touring productions, five productions through the Education Department, and host four Special Event artists. The curtain will rise over 600 times between our in-house, touring and in-school performances this season alone.

We’ll also offer over 200 Enrichment Classes and Summer Camps, at ImaginOn and five different satellite locations throughout the region. All together, our programs this season will serve over 320,000 families with theatre and educational experiences of the highest quality, as we continue to transform the way people experience children’s theatre.

“In America, there are some splendid children’s theatre buildings, for example in Minneapolis, Seattle, Dallas and Bethesda.  The most exciting of all is in North Carolina. I’m just back from a visit to Charlotte, where, three years ago, the 60-year-old Children’s Theatre of Charlotte opened their wonderful new building called IMAGINON. It combines a children’s theatre with a fabulous children’s library. It offers schools and families a double whammy visit to the world of story. It’s an amazing facility… a model that should be admired,
envied and hopefully imitated world-wide.”
